Welcome to “Green Circling” — where art, nature, and action converge to inspire change. This exhibition explores the evolving rhythms of nature through visual arts, sustainable fashion, and immersive installations. It invites us to reflect on the beauty and fragility of the natural cycles that sustain life, while questioning how human actions have disrupted this delicate balance. By delving into the harmonious yet vulnerable relationship between life and time, “Green Circling” seeks to deepen our understanding of our role in preserving these cycles. How have we changed the seasons and the cycles? What happens when balance is lost? Through art, we aim to inspire collective reflection and action to protect our planet’s future. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Dunbar Community Centre for their generous support. This exhibition would not have been possible without the dedication of artists, teachers and volunteers. We also deeply appreciate the support of our partners, including Rotary (Vancouver Centennial), Ivy Golden Union Education, AOMA Academy of Modern Art, NPC Arts Centre, Multintel Education, OpenStudio Academy of Art+Design, MONA Garden Art Studio and TreeShu Art Studio.

Seeking the Gleeful Pony $3,500

By Wenli Yang and Roy Hoh
Print on embossed vinyl, acrylic painting 47 x 47 x 2 inches 2023. This work was inspired by K.J. Bishop's short, weird story, Saving the Gleeful Horse. Pinatas are special for children. In the work, the pony pinata represents children's happiness, which is supposed to be all around them. However, since the environment in which they are growing up has become much crueler than before, it might be hard to find when children suffer in the future. The work alerts us to think about the impact caused by environmental issues.
